  • About us

Welcome to Rareware Archives! Our aim is to be the only site you will ever need for Rare-related news, information, guides and features for all of their games. We cover Rare's entire history, starting with their first releases on the Nintendo Entertainment System, stretching right up to the present day with their next-gen releases on Xbox 360. Now is an exciting time to be a Rare fan and we are pleased that you have joined us to celebrate the games past, present and future of Rare!

If dozens of games made by Rare is not enough for you, we've also expanded our coverage to include games made by ex-Rare staff as well. There's no hard and fast rules for games to qualify for inclusion on the cleverly titled 'Ex-Rare' section. Ultimately, as long a fairly notable ex-Rare member had a hand in its creation, you'll find it listed here. For example, musical genius Grant Kirkhope departed Rare for the fresh pastures of Big Huge Games where he composed the soundtrack to their new adventure RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, so as a result up it goes in our list.

We have a welcoming and friendly online community in our home-made forums where you can discuss all things Rare, whether it be their latest releases or games from long ago, plus anything else that may take your fancy.

New members should check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page and the Meet & Greet forum. These two sections of the site will address any questions you might have and also help you to get to know your fellow members. Remember that you can also e-mail us if you have any queries that you cannot find an answer to.

For our existing members, it's good to see you again. Come on in ...
